I made one short sleeved sirt for my son who needed something light to dance in with a Scottish Country Dance group. The rest of the yardage rested until recently when I made 3 shirts from it. Full sleeves with a ruffle at the cuff.
Now I need more!
My daughter is getting married and they want a Medeival Theme. I am making 5 Groomsmen shirts. The black and chocolate I ordered in the 7oz weight is for pants for three of my sons outfits.
I absolutley love the feel of your IL019. It has been a pleasure sewing with it. I am so glad you still have it at the great price of 20 years for $99. I cant find one yard of good quality linen around here.

I was impressed with the economy of your packaging all my linen in one priority box, but more than that, I was so happy to see that when I measured out each piece, I saw that it was all generously cut, making sure I got the yardage I ordered. I've been trying to do business with other large name fabric store on-line departments, and I've had to send every single order back because they cannot manage to accurately cut it--on $25/yd wool!
It is a pleasure to do business with fabrics-store.com, I know I will get what I paid for (at least, if not more!) and any quality issues will be taken care of.
Thanks for doing such a great job! It would be really cool if you could get into selling wool too. Then I wouldn't have to go anywhere else, heh.
| | Christine Crawford | Apr 6, 2010 | I just received my latest order today and I had such fun unrolling the big sausage and seeing the beautiful colours emerge one-by-one. I continue to be amazed at how gorgeous the fabrics are. There was one piece that I received that didn't look the way I expected at all. It was one of the yarn-dyed Bortovkas (IL055) and I don't know whether it's because I ordered colour 678 instead of 687 or whether it's just not how it looked on my computer monitor. Anyway it doesn't matter because it's FANTASTIC! The colour is most unusual. If someone asked me to describe it I would have trouble and I am usually very good at that sort of thing. So I just wanted to say thanks and keep up the good work!

P.S. The UPS delivery was really quick and since it's cheaper than USPS I think I'll be using them all the time now.

A few days before that I had also received the swatches of different weights of linen, a very good idea! The on-line article on what weights to use for what clothing items was also very helpful. I sew historical clothing for reenactments and know I will be purchasing all my linen from you now. Also I will pass it on to all my other sewing friends, as pure linen is somewhat hard to locate at times. I love linen and am learning to spin flax but it will be a few years before I weave my own :-)

The box arrived in very good condition, the linen neatly and securely packaged inside. I was thrilled to see a complimentary swatch card for the series I had ordered and even more thrilled to the coupon.
